Bubble Ball FAQ

When trying anything new, it is normal to have questions and a desire to get all the details before getting started. Below are just a few answers to the questions we at DFW Bubble Ball are frequently asked.

What Exactly Is It? 

Topping the list of some of the most frequently asked questions we receive is what exactly is Bubble Ball? What we often tell people is that while it is similar to a soccer game, you get to wear an inflatable “orb,” making it much more exciting and often hilarious. The inflatable equipment has shoulder straps that adjust keeping it attached to you the entire time. Additionally, there are handles to hold onto and the inflation keeps you protected during falls and collisions.

Teams are created based on the number of participants and games can be played outdoors or in indoor facilities. While the outdoors allow for more space to spread out and larger goalie nets, playing indoors leads to high scoring games and more “interaction” with opponents. No matter what you choose, you can’t go wrong with having our team at your next work, church, or family event.

Is There an Age Requirement? 

There is no age requirement for Bubble Ball! We encourage those younger and older to participate as long as they feel comfortable doing so. The equipment can be large depending on the height of an individual and may feel heavy to some, so these should be considered before scheduling or participating in an event. We encourage all players to check with their doctor before taking part in our activities.

Are There Height and Weight Limits?  

To effectively play, we recommend that individuals be at least four feet tall. While we have varying sizes of balls, we feel those reaching that height and taller will feel the most comfortable. Children smaller than that can also enjoy getting in the inflatable and rolling around.

There is no minimum weight limit to play; however, having players that are similar in height and weight will make the games more competitive and fun. 

How Long Does the Set-Up Take?

Set-up and take down are easy and efficient. Our Bubble Balls only take about a minute to inflate and deflate, which will all be handled by our staff. Each participant has their own equipment which is cleaned and sanitized after every use.

How Much do Bubble Balls Weigh? 

Because our participants come in all shapes and sizes, our inflatable equipment comes in different sizes as well. Our equipment can range anywhere from 12 to 20 pounds depending on its size. It is important that all players feel comfortable carrying this extra weight while participating during the activities.  With this, we encourage frequent breaks and plenty of hydration.
