4th of July Celebrations in Dallas 2019
One of the best times of year to be visiting or residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is around the 4th of July. The entire area comes alive, more than usual, during this time to bring fun-filled activities for everyone. The best part? The celebrations do not just happen on the Fourth, but also up to a week prior!
Here’s a list of the Dallas fourth of July, 2019 celebrations:
Klyde Warren Park presents Independence Day Celebration
Starting on Saturday, June 29th, head over to Klyde Warren Park located in Downtown Dallas to kick off your 4th of July celebrations. This free event starting at 12:00 pm will have fun family activities, free samples of cold treats from tons of vendors, contests, and more.
There will be plenty of live music to listen to throughout the day with the U.S. Army’s 36th Infantry Division Band wrapping up the night with a fireworks display.
Viridian Presents Stars & Stripes Celebration
The very next day, on June 30th, come to the community of Viridian in Arlington for another day of fun and charity. Walk through a pop-up market, let the kids blow off steam in a bounce house, and eat your way through the many food trucks that will be there.
A silent auction will be held to benefit Nehemiah Builds. After listening to the free live music from 3 bands, watch the beautiful fireworks show over the lake.
Addison Kaboom Town!
After a few days reprieve from the festivities, start the party back up on July 3rd in Addison, TX, for a city-wide celebration. Everywhere from Addison Circle Park, the local restaurants and hotels, and the Addison Airport will have fun-filled activities.
The Airport’s Air Show can be seen from anywhere in town, but it’s best to see up close and personal. This will also be the location of one of the best fireworks shows in the nation!
Liberty by the Lake
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate America’s freedom all day, this event is just for you! Starting at 7:45 am on the 4th of July, participate in a fun run, 5k, or 10k. Afterward, The Colony will host its annual Independence Day parade with this year’s theme being It’s a Fanatical 4th. The festival starts shortly after the parade with live music, a watermelon eating contest, family fun zone, and a fireworks display to finish off the night.
Dallas Heritage Village Presents Old Fashioned Fourth
Not everyone is interested in a fireworks show, and that is ok! The Dallas Heritage Village will take you back in time for an Old Fashioned celebration. Explore the village while chatting with costumed characters, participate in Victorian-era games, and be a part of the All-Join-In-Parade. To top the day off, listen to a live reading of the Declaration of Independence.
